Manage a direct booking security deposit
A security deposit is neither the stay payment nor insurance. Explain the amount, method, possible use and release before booking.
Choose one precise mechanism
Separate a collected deposit from a temporary card authorisation. An authorisation has a limited validity window, depends on the payment method and can expire before the stay ends.
