Booking.com → Google Calendar

  1. Booking.com: open calendar synchronization for the property in the extranet, then copy its iCal export link. Labels can vary with the property setup.
  2. Google Calendar on a computer: open Settings > Add calendar > From URL, paste the Booking.com link, and confirm.
  3. The feed appears under other calendars. Give it a distinct colour and do not publish its URL.
  4. Check propagation: create and remove a test block in Booking.com, then wait for it to appear and disappear in Google Calendar. Until it does, refer directly to Booking.com.

Limit: this is a read-only subscription; changes made in Google Calendar are not sent back to Booking.com. BNB Pilot periodically checks feeds connected to it and flags overlaps after import, without speeding up Google Calendar refreshes.

  • Delayed updates: the feed producer and receiving application each follow their own cycle. Check the latest update before relying on the calendar.
  • No timezone: DTSTART/DTEND without a timezone can shift blocks.
  • Empty feed: new listing, disabled calendar, or incorrect link.
  • Truncated URL: missing token or extra space during copy and paste.
  • Multiple calendars: several imports can display or duplicate the same periods.
  • Network/CORS block: some servers disallow direct browser downloads.
